Your fearless Ps3 leader: Galderon

Hello Trey Brotherhood. I am here to represent one thing, and one thing only, God. This god may not be the divine creature that you believe in, but believe me when I say this. "what Sony has created, is nothing less then a holy entity.

but enough about the PS3
before i create a barrage of blogs about how awesome this sexy machine is, let me tell you about myself.

About Me

My Life As a liberal arts student, i like to think I'm creative and as such i apply these talents to my hobbies like drawing, remixing music, filming editing, and acting in films in which i produce. I'm a media guy and as such, I love all forms. Music (except country and rap) movies (favorites genres include action comedy and horror).I'm also a information gatherer, that's what i like doing on the internet, and finally video games. My job revolves around them, i work in retail but I actually find myself playing less because of it. Strange . . . Anywho, food is also an interest of mine and while i may not be able to cook well (yet) I'm willing to try everything once, even if it sucks i can still say i tried it. i really don't know what i want to do with my career path. In college I'm just getting my basic classes out of the way, while my parents hound me about how a liberal arts degree means nothing in the "real world". my goal in life is to go to Japan, they're culture fascinates me and is such a stark contrast from our own that i want to go.

Interests
drawning editing making movies watching movies I enjoy the finer things in life
like blowing shit up and also doing things on my computer. Making AMV's also doing stuff with photo shop I like to think I'm very creative i enjoy fishing and drawing anime as well as watching said anime. My current favorite being the "Rebuild of Evangelion" movie series but most of all i enjoy playing video games. tis like my crack i play them so much i hope to have a career in that filed one day.

"halo 3 9.8 uncharted 2 9.3 the day Gt lost any credibility it had left"we seen it all before, and to some extent i would have agreed with the mods and admins about how standards change and ideal of whats good in a game also change with time. However, as of Tues novemeber 10th , 2009, i am more inclined to agree with all the trolls fanboys and haters that lurk GT forums everyday. The entire concept of MW2 is nothing more then a carbon copy of it's 2007 predecessor, which isn't a bad thing in any regard. I still regard COD4 campaign still one of the best of all time. even parts i find better then it's over hyped sequel. However the fact that MW2 fails to do anything substainstally new is what dissapoints me, and seemed a lot shorter. If the package did not include the spec ops and the return of its insanely popular death match multiplayer, I would consider this game a complete failure. As for my aforementioned agreement with the likes of users of GT let me make a few comparisons. I will be referring to uncharted and modern warfare as UC2 and MW2 respectively.

Story:
UC2: basically like any Indiana Jones movie (the good ones, not kingdom of the crystal skull) wakes up on train, almost dies, get back up almost dies again, flash back, goes to Turkish museum.
Nate finds relic, gets betrayed, gets back on the trail, betrayed again, not to find he's not really betrayed. goes to napal finds a temple. elena comes back, the red shirt camera man gets shot. *dies* drake and elena run away. nate gets on train. with a helicopter shooting at him, gets shot by former best friend. almost dies again, blacks out, in napalese village. find a Nepalese cowboy to spelunking, find lugar and mutated goats. blah blah blah, teasure is actually a tree that turns people purple and very strong. elena dies the end. despite my oversimplification of the story arch, i found it very enjoyable and actually had several laugh out loud moments, but dispite how cliche the story may seem, i actually cared about the characters and the outcome of the story.

MW2 however takes it's self waaay to seriously, almost to the point of metal gear solids political conflict confusion. The story was fine the way it was in COD4. bad guy is bad, go get bad guy cuz hes got teh nukes, oops nukes explode, lez go get dem bad guys again hurr durr. OMGz bad guy is launch more NUKEZ. STOP. ok epic chase ending. shoot bad guy. END. I still found that better then MW2 convoluted mess of a story.

Design: essentially both the designs of the game stayed the same but again, i feel UC2 comes out on top because I takes everything wrong from the first game and perfected it MW2 on the otherhad still felt like COD4 in many aspect, grenade spam, brain dead AI, and still shooting down waves of enemies, that kill you with cheap deaths. UC2 felt like if you died there was more of legitimate reason

Gameplay: Uc2 being refined as it was i still feel like it came up on top, i have never played such a polished game. MW2 had many glitches and other problems i feel should of been fixed before launch, but both game essentially have the same gameplay as their prequels.

Presentation. okay here's the big one. IW is good at making moving and epic set peices. ie. the nuke from COD4, few can make the presentation prowess. However i haven't played a game that felt more like a movie then i did with UC2 the character, writing, acting, and set pieces, felt as if out of a block buster film. UC2 may not of had a destoryed washington DC, but it also didn't look as good as UC2. graphics wise Uc2 blows MW2 out of the water. the COD engine is starting to show it's age, but that doesn't mean the developers didn't makes good use of lighting and particles effect with the sequel.

as with any aspect of this comparison, it's all based on opinion
but the fact that both games are know to be lacking any originality, and GT calling out this fact only on Sony Playstation exclusive, shows bias and double standards. This is where the review goes outside the realm of opinion, and goes to whoever has the biggest check.
with that said I feel that Uncharted 2 amount thieves is far superior in almost every aspect besides competitive multilayer. for a campaign UC2 has no equal.

*************MOAR RANTING**********************
It as also be said the developer of the "definitive" first person shooter, has not only been able to spit in the faces of it's PC user fan base, but the playstation 3 user fan base as well. With the games first patch on the day of it's release somehow disabling the user to acquire trophies, the patch that fixed this one day later, was only to be overwrought with a bigger fault. Not being able to play the game's ultra popular competitive online multilayer, and still not get trophies. Well done IW

Honestly IW, you've done so much to piss off your fanbase, whats next? I shoulda stuck with Battlefield Bad Company.

*****UPDATE*********
From the shores of Northwest Indiana, PSN ID: Galderon is back online. congrats IW for making the most popular aspect for your game unplayable for almost 24 hours. Time for noob tubin
